From Hereford, in fact. The top ones are from the Catherdral Cafe, the bottom two at the Cattle Market Bank Holiday Market. You got sugar sprinkled on there...
They were good, but not fabulous.

I'd love to have been there, you know who would like to see those scrummy Welshcakes!
I can actually buy them at my local ASDA in Yorkshire, although they are just known as something dull like fruit scones.
They are lovely freshly made when they are still warm!
They look fine to me!
I am hungry just looking at the photos....
It has been ages since I sampled a good welshcake...
Shani
Can you post me some?
Jeremy, sure, no problem. Just give me author rights and I'll stick some up on your blog!
(If we ever have a BlogPower meet, I'm sure we could arrange for Liz or Pat to get some to us.)
They have to be hot off the griddle - the closest thing to heaven! You're right though that many of the shop-bought ones just aren't that good.
Yu should have been in Category 17!
James, some of the Round Table Calendar Boys are decidedly un-tasty.
