INTERMISSION

Here is David on a Blackpool donkey, possibly the last time he will choose to ride one.

There now follows a short intermission. Chocolates and cigarettes are available in the foyer...

The kids had a donkey ride recently. They are quite rare now except at the agricultural shows. What is fun is the camel rides at Glenelg. It is very ungainly and odd as the camel rises from the front. Those kinds of rides take me all the way back to the street markets of my childhood.

and to the beaches at Margate and Cliftonville of my childhood.

Why, Ian? Because he won't want or because the donkeys are disappearing?

Lovely pic. Buona Pasqua to you all from Sicily.

I'll passover that one.

What, religious jokes?

David is rapidly accelerating towards the inevitability of teendom, or what we regard as the cute kid -> sulky Kevin transformation.

I don't think that donkey rides are in any imminent threat of health & safety insanity yet, although give it a year or two before the kids have to wear seatbelts and hard hats...
