Full steam ahead...

We went to a steam fair in the East Riding during early August. I was delighted to see a long lost old friend there, last seen at the Tyneside Summer Exhibition, somewhere I remember going to throughout the 70s.

These shuggy boats* were always rather intense and I was delighted to see that they haven't succombed to elfen' safety yet. David loved them but Karen struggled, even in the centre of the boat (her preferred seat in Pirate Ship rides).




*Strictly speaking, Shuggy Boats are the manual swing type rides but it is what my Dad always called the Steam Yachts.
